Authenticity
Generations is real people, real problems, real life, real support. We believe you should be able to come as you are and that Generations Church is a safe place of no comparing but encouraging and empowering. (James 5:16; Philippians 3:12-14; Luke 12:1-3)
Healthy Relationships
Generations believes we have an innate need for relationships. We also believe that real authentic relationships are necessary for us to live the life we were meant to live. We value and focus on creating an environment where relationships are the focus of everything we do. We want to help you find your people that you do this journey of life with. (Matthew 18:19-20; Ecclesiastes 4:10-12; John 13:34-35; Matthew 5:24)
Empowering People
Generations believes you have a purpose, have been given gifts and talents by God, and have a role to fulfill that no one else can. We strive to be a church that empowers, encourages, and equips those to fulfill their purpose. We release leaders to do great things. We believe inside each person is a leader that has people they are meant to empower and develop. Leaders change the world and we believe you have the ability to change the world in someone’s life so we are always striving to raise up leaders and send them out to change this world in their own way. (2 Corinthians 4:7; 1 Peter 2:9-10; 1 Corinthians 1:28)
Prayer
We believe that Christianity is a relationship, not a religion based on rules and ceremony. We believe prayer is the greatest way for you to develop a relationship with Jesus and we strive to create an environment that fosters prayer. We also believe prayer is answered by God and believe in the power of prayer. (Exodus 20:18-19; Luke 5:16; Jeremiah 33:3)
Worship
Generations believes that one of the single greatest ways to experience the presence of God is through worship. We value the opportunity to spend time in the presence of the Lord and the Bible says that he inhabits the praises of His People. Through creative expressions, we will build a culture of worship. (Acts 16:25-26; Isaiah 12:5; John 4:23-24; Matthew 15:8-9)
Growth
We believe that anything that is healthy grows, from plants to humans, a sign of health is growth. Generations Church believes in authenticity and coming as you are but we don’t believe we should stay there. We are always on a journey of growing. We want to grow in our spiritual life, relationships, friendships, marriages, finances. We want to be a place of health where those who call this place home are growing. (1 Corinthians 3:6-8; 2 Peter 1:5-9; Psalms 1:2-3; Galatians 5:22-23)
Simplicity
Life can be so complicated and complex and too often we as humans tend to make things so much more complicated than they need to be. Generations values simplicity. We strive to not over complicate this journey but to simplify and empower. 1 Corinthians 13:1-7; Matthew 23:23-24; Matthew 18:2-5)
Next Generation
Generations believes in the next generation and connecting all Generations to each other. We believe in the value of discipleship and that we all have something to offer to each other. We strive to focus on empowering, encouraging, and equipping the next generations to reach their full potential. We believe that all ages are vital to the health of the church and are intertwined in a symbiotic relationship. (Judges 2:10; Psalms 71:18, Psalms 145:4, Deuteronomy 4:9)
Truth
Truth has taken a hard hit over the years to the point where the underlying belief of the majority could be summed up as truth is relative. Unfortunately, if one builds upon a foundation of “truth is relative” it leaves a person on very shaky ground. We believe in Jesus and his claim to be the way, the truth, and the life. We are on a journey to discover Jesus and His truth and live our lives on that unshakeable foundation. (John 1:14-17; John 14:6-7; Romans 1:18-23)
Creators
The Bible is clear that Jesus came to serve and we take on the mentality we don’t want anything from you we want to help you create the life God called you too. Generations Church is a group of people who have learned that the joy in life is not in consumption but in blessing others.
